Tough Decisions

Some play it by the mind, while others by the heart.
As individuals we have always been taught to think and decide. The thinking process itself involves the mind where we reason out the implications, advantages, disadvantages etc of taking one decision over another. This process makes much sense to those of us who think analytically.

However, there comes a time when these analytical minds are faced with a decision where as much as the mind tries, it cannot convince the heart. A debate exists between the mind and heart and we are unable to decide on whom to listen to.
Such decisions are tough to make....

What's your life like?

Life is simple. This is what you need in life:
  1. Food to eat.
  2. Roof to protect you from rain.
  3. Clothes to shield the winter.
  4. Someone to talk to.
  5. Death in peace.

Life can be complex. This is what you want in life:
  1. The happy family.
  2. That large bunglow to keep the family safe.
  3. That fast car for yourself.
  4. That flashy phone with 3 mega pixel camera, radio, gprs, mp3 player, 3G and all those features that you can live without.
  5. That awesome ipod that can play mp3/videos/radio.
  6. Those beautiful shoes that that are on sale for $400 but would otherwise cost $600.
  7. That relaxing holiday every year for yourself and the family.
  8. A good job to earn the money that buys you all the above and to make you feel that you are doing something useful.
  9. A social stature that distinguishes you.
  10. Investments that would ensure you a wealthy life after you retire.
